Join us for an exciting opportunity to participate in our Citizen Science Program focused on monitoring water quality. This innovative program invites community members to actively engage in scientific research and contribute to the conservation efforts of our local environment.

As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, we are continuing this Citizen Science Program to monitor and protect the water quality of our surrounding ecosystems.

Participants will have the chance to work alongside experienced educators to collect vital data on various water quality parameters, including pH levels, dissolved oxygen content, nutrient concentrations, and turbidity. Through hands-on fieldwork and data collection techniques, participants will gain valuable insights into the health of our local waterways and contribute to ongoing research efforts.

No prior scientific experience is necessary to participate in this program. Whether you’re a seasoned environmentalist or simply curious about the world around you, all are welcome to join our community of citizen scientists. This program offers a unique opportunity to learn about freshwater ecology, environmental monitoring techniques, and the importance of preserving water quality for the well-being of wildlife and humans alike.

By participating in this Citizen Science Program, volunteers will not only contribute to important research efforts but also play a crucial role in the conservation of Cedar Run and its surrounding ecosystems. Together, we can make a tangible difference in safeguarding the water quality for future generations to enjoy.
