“Marketa McCabe was passionate about the environment and believed everyone should experience the outdoors. As an engineering student, she advocated for underrepresented women in STEM fields.
Unfortunately, after being sick with COVID, Marketa was diagnosed with a high cardiac arrhythmia. Tragically, on March 13, 2021, her heart stopped in her sleep. Marketa was almost 20 years old. She had plans and ambitions to make the world a better place and touched many lives, even saving some.
The foundation awards scholarships to women of diverse backgrounds entering STEM fields. We promote the importance of nature and its conservation while also raising awareness of COVlD’s effects on the hearts of young adults.”
