Become A Volunteer

How did you hear about our program?

**NOTE: Volunteers will be asked to pay a one-time non-refundable application fee. Volunteers UNDER 18 will be asked to pay

$20 this fee supports staff time and resources associated with processing and training. Please note: Submission of a volunteer application and application fee does not guarantee a volunteer position at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.

Volunteers 18 AND OVER will be asked to pay $40, this fee covers the cost of a criminal background check and supports staff time and resources associated with training and processing. This is a criminal history only check, not a credit check. Our insurance mandates this check because we have groups of children on the premises year round. Please note: Submission of a volunteer application and application fee does not guarantee a volunteer position at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.

Please DO NOT call about volunteer opportunities. Our coordinator also works in the hospital and is usually caring for our wildlife!

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge does not host police or court ordered community service hours. We do appreciate all types of service, but our status as an education facility prohibits our organization from hosting police or court ordered community service.
