Calling all young explorers and budding photographers! Join us for an exciting Junior Nature Photography Session.
Led by experienced nature educators and photographers, this hands-on session is designed to inspire creativity and foster a deeper connection with the natural world. Children will have the opportunity to learn basic photography techniques while exploring the diverse habitats of the refuge.
During the session, participants will embark on a guided wildlife adventure, where they’ll have the chance to capture captivating images of a few of Cedar Run’s resident animals and other things we find a long the way. Our educators will provide tips and tricks for composition, lighting, and capturing the perfect shot, ensuring that every young photographer feels confident behind the lens.
The Junior Nature Photographers Session at Cedar Run promises a fun and educational experience for children. Whether they’re snapping photos of furry friends or exploring the beauty of nature, participants will create lasting memories and develop valuable skills that will inspire their love of photography for years to come.

Ages 8-12 please. $12/member, $17/non-member. 10:00-11:30am. Space is limited to 10 children. Must bring your own camera. Advanced registration required. Fee includes daily admission to the Refuge for the participant.
Please note: Parents/Guardians may accompany their children but are not permitted to take their own photographs during this event.
