Join us at dusk for an enchanting exploration into the fascinating world of bats at Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.

On this special evening, we’ll set out on a bat hike to uncover the secrets of these often misunderstood mammals. Equipped with bat detectors, we’ll venture along the refuge’s trails, listening for the ultrasonic calls of bats as they emerge from their roosts to hunt for insects under the cover of night.

Led by our educators, this short hike will provide a unique opportunity to witness the nocturnal activities of Cedar Run’s bat population. Learn about the different species of bats that call New Jersey home, their remarkable adaptations, and the important role they play in maintaining ecological balance.

Whether you’re a bat enthusiast or simply curious about these remarkable creatures, our event promises an enlightening and immersive experience.
