Volunteering

Volunteer information sessions are typically held in the late winter/early spring, just before the arrival of our animal babies. During the summer and fall months, we train volunteers on an as needed basis. In 2013, the orientation sessions will be held on Sundays; February 17, and March 17. All sessions will be at 2:00 PM in the education pavilion in front of the nature center. Orientation sessions will cover volunteer opportunities and scheduling. For more information on volunteer positions, or to RSVP for a specific session, please e-mail Sara Walsh. Volunteers will be asked to pay $10 for a background check and provide 2 references. This is a criminal history only check, not a credit check. Our insurance mandates this check because we have groups of children on the premises year round.
