Full Moon Night Hike

Experience the Refuge in an exciting way, at night! Enjoy a guided hike under the light of the full moon to visit nocturnal habitats that are home to owls, raccoons, opossums and other wildlife that emerge after dark. Start time varies with sunset. Suitable for ages 8 and up. $10/person. Advanced registration required.

Summer Camp – Girls Go Wild About STEM
Jul 22 – Jul 26 all-day

In this special interest camp we will engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and nature inspired activities and experiments. Nature exploration with modern technology opens the door for real-world applications and exciting adventures. July 22-26. 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Entering 4th-8th grade.

Summer Camp – Polliwogs Full Day
Jul 22 – Jul 26 all-day

Here’s a way to open the eyes of young ones to the wonders of nature. Budding naturalists will enjoy nature-filled activities using all of their senses. They will explore the natural world around them through play, walks, stories, games and crafts. Half and full day sessions available. August 5-9. 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Entering K-1st grade.

Summer Camp – Pond Paradise
Jul 22 – Jul 26 all-day

What creatures lurk in the waters of Cedar Run? Campers will explore the puddles, ponds and swamps of the Refuge. We will follow a frog’s footsteps, find bug-eating plants and see what else awaits us. It will be a wild and wet week of mysterious creatures and water wonders. July 22-26, August 5-9. 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Entering 2nd-3rd grade.

Summer Camp – Awesome Adventurers
Jul 29 – Aug 2 all-day

Are your campers ready for this adventure? With their team they will explore the Refuge and find themselves challenged to “survive” a week in the Pines. Campers will build a survival shelter in the woods, use a map and compass, go in search of the Jersey Devil and see some animals too! July 8-12, July 29-August 2. 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.. Entering 4th-5th grade.

Campers discover what it feels like to be animals surviving in the woods. They’ll look for the things that make the Refuge special. Flip over rocks and logs as we look for hidden wild treasures. Summer Camp – Discovery by the Day
Aug 19 – Aug 23 all-day

Cedar Run offers week-long camp sessions, but understands that some families can’t commit to a full week. With our “Discovery by the Day” sessions you can sign-up for whichever days you’d like to accommodate your scheduling needs. New activities are planned each day so each child can participate. Camp days run 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Campers entering grades K-5th only. $55/day or regular full day pricing for all 5 days.

Autumn with the Animals

Help welcome the fall season with a fun day for the whole family! Activities include games, guided hikes, crafts, food, canoeing, face painting, and educational demonstrations and programs. 11-4pm. All proceeds benefit Cedar Run. $10/person ages 4 and up, ages 3 and under FREE.
