Join us for a screening of The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s award-winning documentary – Bird of Prey (synopsis below). Event to run rain or shine inside our outdoor pavilion (don’t worry – we have an outdoor heater if it’s cold!) Guests will enjoy an up-close experience with a few of our resident birds of prey, a bonfire to run throughout the night with marshmallows, and a screening of this spectacular film (popcorn is included!). 6pm-8pm. $15 adult / $10 child. Please feel free to bring your own camping chair (benches and folding chairs provided for those without their own chairs). Advanced registration required – program size limited to 40 guests!

Winter is the perfect time for owl spotting. Join us on the shortest day of the year–Winter Solstice–for a fun Owl Prowl at Cedar Run! Program begins at the nature center. Begins at 4:30-6:00pm. $12/adult, $10/child. Suitable for ages 8 and up. Advanced registration required.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and attend a “Volunteer Information Session.” Volunteer Information Sessions are typically held just before the arrival of our wildlife babies in January, February and March. Volunteers 18 AND OVER will be asked to pay $40, this fee covers the cost of a criminal background check and supports staff time and resources associated with training and processing. This is a criminal history only check, not a credit check. Our insurance mandates this check because we have groups of children on the premises year round. Please note: Submission of a volunteer application and application fee does not guarantee a volunteer position at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.
