This national day encourages hiking and spending time outdoors with young ones! Pick up a scavenger hunt checklist inside the Nature Center before embarking on the trails, complete it and return to the Nature Center for a prize. 10-4pm. Fun for all ages! FREE with admission. No registration required!
Join us for a morning of photography. Our trained staff will bring select birds out of their enclosures for photographing up-close and personal on perches and in a natural setting. This program will be limited to 12 participants. 9-11am. $50/member, $60/non-member. Advanced registration & pre-payment required.

Members 21+ are welcome to join us for a night of painting and fun lead by our Membership Manager. We will be painting a woodland inspired scene that makes a great gift or artistic piece for any room in your home. No painting experience is required. Beginners are welcome! This event is BYOB. Please bring your own cups, coolers and snacks.
- Smocks, canvases, and painting supplies will be provided
- Must be 21+ and a Cedar Run member to register.
- Members may bring 1 guest (member or non-member) for an additional fee.
- Beer and wine ONLY. No hard liquor will be permitted.
- This event will be held in our pavilion rain or shine.

Celebrate Dad or your recent Grad! Join us for a private tour of Cedar Run! After many months apart and distanced from our families this is the perfect opportunity to get together safely outdoors to celebrate the ones we love. Each package includes a 1.5-hour guided private tour of our Wildlife Housing Area, a short hike for you and your family (up to 8 people) and symbolically adopt a Cedar Run resident of your choice ($35 value!). Join us for a fun and engaging program focused on a fun book each week. There are two days – Wednesday or Thursday – to choose from to meet your scheduling needs (same lesson runs each day, so please only choose one).
We will read, do a craft and head outside on an adventure about the week’s theme. 10-11am. Ages 3-5. $8/child with adult. Space is limited to 10 children. Advanced registration required.

To celebrate “National S’mores Day,” join us around the campfire for some delicious s’mores followed by a guided tour of the Wildlife Housing Area. This fun and informal program is perfect for all ages. Tours depart at 6:30, 7:00 & 7:30pm. Campfire runs continuously from 6:00-8:30pm. Come early and bring dinner, make a craft, or just take a hike on your own (program cost includes refuge admission and s’mores). Advanced registration required.
