COVID-19 Message

Cedar Run’s Nature Center is OPEN!

UPDATED 3/3/2021 – Currently, the Nature Center will be open to the public at reduced hours – Open 10am-4pm EVERY DAY (no appointment needed). We appreciate your understanding as we adapt staff schedules to ensure rigorous cleaning and maintain the health and safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers.

Currently, we are limiting occupancy of the Nature Center to approximately 10 persons at a time; if there is a line, please visit briefly. Staff have the right to reduce this number if needed. The reptile room, playroom and restrooms are open at reduced capacity, and cleaned daily. Outside restrooms will continue to be provided as well.

Social Distancing: Social distancing of six feet will be maintained within the building and should continue to be observed along the trails in the Wildlife Housing Area.

Face Coverings: Face coverings are required for visitors, staff, and volunteers inside the Nature Center. Individuals, over age 2, without a face covering will not be admitted. In the event you do not have or are unable to wear a face covering, the alternate admission options (fee boxes and text to give) will remain in effect. Face coverings should also be worn in the Wildlife Housing Area, Nature Playscape and trails when distancing from other groups isn’t possible. Please keep your face coverings available to be used as needed during your visit.

Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer will be available at the building entry and exit, and guests are encouraged to use them. Staff will sanitize their hands between transactions with guests.

Cleaning: Cleaning protocols for public spaces have been expanded, with sanitization of all surfaces scheduled regularly.

Picnic Area: The covered picnic pavilion will not be open to the public, as it will be used solely for our education programs. The open air picnic area near the parking lot will be available for public use.

Cedar Run remains committed to the health and safety of visitors and staff, and will be evaluating COVID-19 policies, procedures and hours on continual basis; changes may be implemented at any time so please check back before each visit

These are difficult economic and pandemic times, consider making a generous donation so that we can continue to provide life-saving care to the many animals that rely on us.
