Patient Story: Wild Turkey – Hit By Car

Update: On March 21, the Wild Turkey was released! She fully recovered from her injuries, and was reunited with her wild home. For our wildlife rehabilitators, release is always the number one goal, and stories like these keep them going. We are able to accomplish our mission because of generous donors, like you, who believe in our mission as well.

A wild turkey was brought to us 5 days ago, on February 9th, after she was hit by a car. She was suffering with severe head trauma, lacerations, and bruising all over her body. She has been making great improvements and is feeling much better. What a difference a few days can make! She is now walking and eating on her own. We hope that in a few weeks she will back out wild and free! In the meantime, she will be enjoying a warm bed, free meals, and pain medication. We are able to do this lifesaving work thanks to YOUR donations! You can help by making a donation today!
