Here's a way to open the eyes of your young one to the wonders of nature. For three hours each day, budding naturalists will enjoy nature filled activities using all of their senses. They will explore the natural world around them through play, walks, stories, games, and crafts.

Forest Frolic

For Ages 7-8
Discover what's lurking in the Pine Barrens. You'll discover what it feels like to be animals that have to survive. You'll look for the things that make the Pine Barrens so special. Flip over rocks and logs as you look for hidden wildlife treasures. You'll be shocked by the exciting creatures we find.

Pond Paradise
July 28- Aug 1

For Ages 7-8
What creatures lurk in the waters of Cedar Run? You'll explore the puddles, ponds, and swamps of the Refuge. You'll follow a frog's footsteps, find meat-eating plants, and see what else awaits you in the heart of Pond Paradise. It will be a wild and wet week of mysterious creatures and water wonders.

Wild 4 Wildlife

For ages 9-11
Have you ever wondered what goes on in your own backyard when you're not looking? Even when you are looking? You'll work together with your team to discover who is living right under your nose and how people interact with them in their homes. Using the creative minds of your team, you'll create solutions and learn how to be an ambassador for the animals.

Awesome Adventurers
July 21-25

For ages 9-11
Are you ready for this adventure? You and your team will explore the Refuge, and find yourself challenged to "survive" a week in the Pines. You'll build a survival shelter in the woods, use a map and compass, go in search of the Jersey Devil. Don't forget about the animals too! Join us, as we discover the Refuge as never before!
