Scout Projects
There are many opportunties for scouts to complete projects here at Cedar Run. Many Eagle Scouts have helped us by building animal enclosures, fences, and more. Girl Scouts also use Cedar Run to complete Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards too. Here is our current project wishlist (more involved projects are listed at the bottom):
* Nature based playground structures, Stickloos
* A-frame housing for screech and short-eared owls
* Raised planter boxes for nature center loop
* New trash can enclosures
* Tie throw pillows/covers for porch
* New puppets for porch (sew or hold a fundraiser to purchase)
* Improved bird house viewing area (houses, benches, etc.)
* Lenape crafts,textiles, and housing recreations
* Veterinary exam area on porch
* New walkway and railing in front of the nature center
* Barrel hand wash stations
* Picnic tables with "backed” benches
* Adirondack Chairs for fire pit and bird house area
* New fencing at enclosures (rope and post)
* Weathering area at nature center
* Canoe Rack (poss.)
* Convertible table/benches for mural room
* Improvements on new trail
* Enclosure in front of nature center
