Scout It Out

Woodford Cedar Run is the perfect place to complete a variety of your scout requirements for boy scouts, cub scouts, and girl scouts. Our naturalists can tailor a program to meet many of the requirements you are looking to fulfill. We’re also a great place to perform service projects!*

Pricing for all on-site scout programs are as follows:

$6.00 per scout with a $48.00 minimum
3 free adult chaperones for groups of 1-12 scouts
4 free adult chaperones for groups of 13-20 scouts
5 free adult chaperones for groups of 21-25 scouts
$5.00 per additional adult chaperone

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts

Scouts can choose from several programs that include nature-based activities and visits with native wildlife. Hike the grounds! Sharpen your skills! Get up close and personal with raptors, reptiles and more. Refuge on Wheels programs are also available at your site for Pack or Troop meetings.

Girl Scouts

We provide programs for girls from Daisies on up to Seniors here at the Refuge. Learn about plants and animals, go on a hike, explore the Pines, and more! Refuge on Wheels programs are also available at your site for Troop meetings. Many girls choose to complete bronze, silver and gold award projects* here at the Refuge too. *Please note: All girl and boy scout projects must be self-funded. The Refuge staff would be happy to help brainstorm ideas, publicize a fundraiser, or even present live animals at a fundraising event.
